Hello, you may know me from my activty on the Community Forums, as i recently decided to join the Dev team of Thrive (with the help of @Rathalos), And i am very glad to help support Thrive like this!

I won’t be directly developing or adding features to Thrive, as i have nearly no experience on the coding languages it uses, instead, i will be a Playtester, and mainly, i will be in the Outreach specialty, as i already have a YT channel centered around Thrive (click here), and pretty decent editing skills. I would gladly come up with new video ideas for the official RG channel to boost outreach, while also posting Thrive related memes and other misc. videos on my channel. In short, i can help with video editing, and also be a auxiliary trailer guy (like with 1.7.0).

Im glad to be on the Dev team, and help make Thrive a more probable future!

Pretty much yes as like 95% of developer communication happens there, and where you would also get feedback from team members watching any video edits you have done.

Theoretically we try to use the forums for most important work, but obviously posting rough trailer cuts on the publicly visible forums wouldn’t work. So yeah kind of mandatory to use Discord to talk to other Thrive devs.

A private forum thread could be made to talk about the trailer, but that would limit how many devs would comment. We have tried for years to get more discussions to happen on the forums, but it just seems that casual Discord chatting is just too convenient for most people, so basically all spontaneous discussions happen there.
