As I’ve mentioned before I have a concept for loading screens that tell a story over the stages of the game. To do this I plan on working through the evolutionary tree of four different body plans, all based on creature designs Mr42 made for Thrive specifically, as well as designing the planet. I’m going to post progress for it here so I’m not swamping the discord with notifications constantly.

I’m switching to GPlate to design the planet and continents. Rock3, while quite nice, runs its tectonic simulation too fast and would realistically create a planet similar to Venus. I will also have far more control over the movement of the plates and how the continents break apart and come together.

This will be worked on slowly over time, but enough should be done by the time the early multicellular stage is finished so the loading screen images can be created and added to the game for the start of the 3D stages.
